It’s 2017 and I’m excited! I’m doing what I love, being me, and sketching out my future and goals as I see fit! That’s exciting. (It’s scary too…don’t get me wrong.) I am a dreamer, entrepreneur, and pretty optimistic…but also a realist and an analyst. (My Myers-Briggs can prove it!) Lala land does not pay the bills. (You know what I’m saying! Hello!) The images I’ve attached of my son reflect exactly the emotions I feel starting this year. The explorer, upside-down crazy excited, happy, yet thoughtful of how to make it all work. (Sometimes letting go of that security blanket is hard work!)

 

So, this is what I am going to do in 2017!!

1. I am going to open up child headshot. One kid, 6-12-ish age, one light, one backdrop, and beautiful results.
2. I am going to re-focus on engagements, my favorite! I love couples…just couples. I love intimate relationships between two people. So if you don’t love each other…don’t come to me for your photos! (Kidding, not kidding!! I hate awkward situations. Ha!)
3. I am going to drive myself to encourage all my newborn clients to get maternity images. Why? Because maternity sessions are awesome, and I love them!! They are like engagements, but with a new life in between! The angels always start singing in the middle of a maternity session! Lol!
4. I am going to work even harder to get a regular stream of newborn clients. I need a baby in my hands at all times! I learn very quickly, and need that constant flow to continue improving.
5. I am branching out my business location to serve people in Katy, Houston, Corsicana, and Dallas. Why? My niece is in Corsicana. My mom has a place there. Which means now I have a space to photograph newborns. Dallas…you’re only an hour and a half away…that’s an easy drive! (Everything in Houston takes an hour! It’s ridiculous!!)

I’m excited, I hope you get excited, because 2017 will be awesome!! So let’s get at this!!
